Students remarked that they can set their own goals, it's challenging, they can find reading material that's 

of high interest to them, and it's FUN!!  

It's no surprise that we have lots of great things 

happening at Metcalf School considering the fabulous children, families, faculty, and staff we have in EWG! 

*As many of you know, we have a new parent pick-up routine that I think is huge improvement! Please let me know your thoughts so we can make any necessary adjustments going forward.
*February 8th is the Dental Screening for those students that have not returned their Dental Card.  Please call the office if you'd like another one and we will send it home with your child.
*February 15th is the Kids Heart Challenge Jump Rope Event. Students should wear sneakers, comfortable clothing, and bring a water bottle to school.
*February 18-22 is Winter Vacation so there is no school. Enjoy some well-deserved family time!
*February 28th is Title 1 Family Math Workshop at 5:30 in the library, followed by Family Math Night at 6:00 for all in the Metcalf cafeteria, please plan on joining us!
*March 6th is our next SIT meeting in the library at 3:15.
*March 14th is an Early Release Day, students are dismissed from school at 1:00.
*March 28th Save the Date! it's Metcalf Creative Arts Night! Check out all the fun things we've got planned! Framed Student Art Fundraiser, Music Performances, Crafts, Creative Writing, Family and Photo Booth Activities, The Met “Café” and more details coming soon!
*March 29th is the Hearing Screening for grades 2 & 3.
